The Active 10, a better alternative than 10,000 steps a day?
Dr Michael Mosley, the famous reporter from BBC popular documentary “Trust Me, I’m a Doctor” (which I’ve blogged a series previously) said : ‘Forget walking 10,000 steps a day’. In a recent experiment with groups doing 10,000 steps a day compared to another group, called “Active 10” who do short 10 min brisk walks (say 3 a day), and found out the Active 10 is in fact better with seemingly more interesting (and hence something which you’d more likely do each day) keep-fit routine built into your daily routine. Click here to the source view the short BBC video and hear what Prof Bob Copeland said. They even have an app for your Android and iphone (download here) to help you to implement this. Try it out and get fitter in a more interesting way!
