For Calligraphers – Search characters any writing style

Many friends are keen calligraphy lovers, while online calligraphy dictionaries are not new, I was most glad to find my favourite contemporary calligrapher 周慧珺 ‘s works featured. Hence, I would like to introduce and share some online sites, also a mobile app where you can search Chinese characters online instantly giving you many different styles from historic and some contemporary famous calligraphers including 周慧珺 (in the 1st site), 米芾, 王羲之, 郑板桥, 黄庭坚…….  Of course, you can do the same with the many thick paper based calligraphy dictionaries, but this is much faster for me. Hope some of you can  make good use of it, continue enjoy the art of calligraphy!

• Just input the character at the top left box here and select your favourite calligrapher on the right, and the style you want (optional), just one click would take you to the many different styles for that character with your favorite calligrapher’s version at the top
• The portal site here also can take you to many different dictionaries
• This one allows you to input a short sentence to change instantly to different styles too, although 周慧珺’s is not featured here.
• This mobile app (云章书法字典) was introduced to me by a friend, is also useful for quick search of calligraphy characters (in 6 versions- each with many examples from famous calligraphers). Download Android version, and Apple iOS version here. 云章书法字典app收录了篆、隶、楷、行、草五种字体共十多万书法字，涵盖了王羲之、王献之、颜真卿、柳公权、欧阳询、米芾、褚遂良、赵孟頫、智永、怀素等一千多位书法家的作品，包括《兰亭序》、《快雪时晴帖》、《中秋帖》、《鸭头丸帖》、《真草千字文》、《九成宫醴泉铭》、《雁塔圣教序》、《多宝塔碑》、《玄秘塔碑》、《神策军碑》、《论书帖》、《研山铭帖》、《胆巴碑》、《马王堆帛书》、《敬使君碑》、《月仪帖》等，名家精品一应俱全。
