I’m quite sure that many of you may have already heard about the result of this major 75 years long Harvard Study (started in 1938) following through the lives of over 700 men from their teenage years all through to their old age, with regular interviews (of them and their families), medical records, etc.
and the key message/result of this study is “Good Relationship”. But here’s the original TED talk by Robert Waldinger – the 4th director of the Study, which brought out the background, the reasons behind and drove the message hard with ways of achieving it. I particularly like the concluding quote (from Mark Twain) that “There isn’t time, so brief is life, for bickerings, apologies, heartburnings, callings to account. There is only time for loving, and but an instant, so to speak, for that.“. Enjoy and contemplate this talk which has already been seen by 17 million people.
