The April 10 United Airline horrific incident of forcefully evicting a passenger from the plane was a major PR disaster for UAL. Incidentally, the annual US Airline rankings has just been published on April 10th. Travelling in a carefree way certainly should avoid being bumped from a flight and observing airline rankings may be of some tips?
For 2017, Virgin for the first time since 2011, was bumped off the crown down to 3rd and the crown was just claimed by Alaska Airline this year, followed by Delta. UAL is at 8th, worldwide, under JADEC 2017, UAL is 31st (see my other blog post on Safest Airlines 2017). The Report however; said that traveling through the U.S. was 21% better in 2016 than it was in 2015, but of course, the ranking methodology seems to have omitted the PR factor.
