Too much info

If you’re like me who usually come across something which you’d like to refer to in the future, but when the time comes, you cannot find it.  Then read on….

Nowadays, there’re huge amount of info (online, from magazines, newspapers, friends’ referral, …), some good and useful in the right time and place, but the problem is how and where to store them such that you can recall them when needed.  You may be using diaries and files, and may have an excellent filing system which you can pinpoint the right file where something useful to a particular event was stored a few years back.  Congratulations! as you have a good memory.  I honestly cannot remember most of the stuff I saw a few years’ back except may be a faint idea that I might have seen something useful.  Well, I’ve been looking for such information filing and retrieval system for years and I believe I’ve found a solution.  I believe most of you have better memory than me, but still the system I’m going to share here would be useful to you.  Say, you’re in Bangkok and you remember something useful but it’s stored in the filing system at home, and didn’t have time to prepare for this Bangkok journey prior to start!

For the system to be useful, I say it has to be (The System’s capability- assuming that you have a mobile phone):

  1. easy to input anywhere (via typing in, drawing sketches, taking photo, sound recording to your mobile, PC, tablet..)
  2. easy to retrieve anywhere (easy searching without need to file, via any modern-day device with or without internet access)
  3. sync across multi-device you use (computer, mobile, different OS)
  4. easy to share, support teamwork
  5. free for many basic useable functions (may satisfy many’s need)
